Witham will once again be holding a German Christmas market, following the success of last year's event.
The market is being held in the public hall next Saturday, December 9, and will be opened by the Mayor, Michael Jones.
A variety of Christmas gifts and decorations will be on sale, along with German food, such as bratwurst (fried sausage), frikadellen (burger), reibe-kuchen (shredded fried potato) and the traditional gluhwein.
The event has been organised the Witham Twinning Association which aims to bring a German Market atmosphere to the town with the sound of German carols and the smells of traditional food.
The market is running from 3.30pm until 7pm and there is access for wheelchairs and ample parking in the nearby town car park.
There is an entrance fee of £1 and accompanied children under 16 are free.
