Coventry boss Gordon Strachan must have felt a sense of deja-vu as he watched his side crumble against Ipswich Town for the second time in as many weeks.
Goals from Titus Bramble and David Johnson won the tie which sets up a match against either Manchester City or Wimbledon in the quarter finals of the Worthington Cup.
Craig Bellamy scored a penalty in reply for City.
But it was not enough with Moroccan midfielder Youssef Chippo gifting the first goal for Town and Johnson scoring a second on the 65th minute.
