An inquest into the death of a man whose body was found in a cupboard of a flat in Thorpe has been opened and adjourned.
Coroner's officer PC Nick Waltham said that 25-year-old Justin Chant, of Byng Crescent, was found in the hallway cupboard after police had received an anonymous call.
He said that Mr Chant had no known medical history.
"A cause of death has not been established at this time," added PC Waltham.
Three people were due to appear in court today (Thursday) following Mr Chant's death.
Lee Smith, 21, of Seymour Road, Clacton, has been charged with the murder of Mr Chant and with disposing or otherwise concealing his body.
Steven Sullivan, 39, of Byng Close, Thorpe, and Michaela Wrenn, 20, of the same address, have both been charged with concealing Mr Chant's body.
