Festive rhyming treats will be on offer at Billericay Library during December.
Local poet Derek Edwards will be sharing a selection of Christmas poems on the Rhyme Time board between December 4 and 30.
Derek. who was born in Walthamstow but has lived in Billericay for the past three years, discovered his love of poetry while he served in the Army.
He continued writing through a number of jobs in the clothing trade and carried on while he worked at Madame Tussauds in London.
He believes he was born to entertain, but missed the opportunity to do so - and now uses poetry as a compensation.
