Members of Team Trampoline Promotions, Brentwood County High School, travelled to Worthing on Saturday for the Grade 2 National Trampoline finals.

Competitors have had to qualify in order to compete atthe National Finals and although Team Trampoline Promotions is a new club it had two qualifiers, Kerry Elsdon and Lianne Powell, both 12 years old and competing in the Under 13 age group.

Kerry completed her three routines flawlessly and won the competition 1.1 marks ahead of her closest rival.

Her training partner Lianne, competing in her first national finals finished in 22nd place after a disappointing compulsory round.

Caroline Arno, coach to Kerry and Lianne said, "I am very pleased with the performance of both girls.

''At Team Trampoline Promotions we are aiming to produce National and International Champions and I am pleased we have had such a good start.

'' It gives our younger novice performers inspiration for next year when they too will be competing at this level."

Carl Furrer, 1982 World Trampoline Champion and owner of Team Trampoline Promotions, said: "After such convincing performances from both Kerry and Lianne I feel they are ready to move up and join Suzanne Perkins in the advanced Grade 1 competitions, this is from where the National Squads are selected."
