Only two Bukta Southend District League games survived the weather with Thundersley Rovers climbing to third place in the Premier Division with a 5-3 win over Steelers, who dropped to eighth.
Salter, Shamshoum, Woods, McMahon and Hammer scored for Rovers with Witherington (2) and Jillins replying.
In Division Two, Boundary crushed Hockley and Hawkwell Reserves 12-0 with I Scott and D Scott both grabbing hat-tricks. Cass, S Richardson (2), Lawless, White and Johnson netted.
District side Sparkbridge crashed out of the Essex Junior Cup at the third round stage when they lost 3-2 to Herts and Essex Border League Hullbridge Sports. Sears and Crickmar netted for the losers.
