Gould took advantage of a rain-affected Hadleigh Carport Southend Borough Combination reduced programme to grab a hat-trick for Estuary Athletic in a 5-2 Division Four win over Corinthians.
Wyles and Rutter completed the scoring for Estuary with Kemp and Rose replying. Battlesbridge had mixed fortunes. Their 2nd team won 2-1 at Ekco in the Reserve Division with Brown and Osborne scoring and Hepton on target for the losers.
However, in Division Five, Battlesbridge 3rd lost 3-2 at their Thames Park counterparts. Hotson, Irvine and Nicklin scored for Park with Brigstock and King replying.
Finally, Parsons Barn 2nd lost 3-2 at home to Glenwood 2nd. R Green got all three for the winners.A penalty from P Jones and Wallis provided the losing side's goals.
