Mark Alexander, the reserve for the Olympic Games, is to undertake his training at Team Trampoline Promotions based at Brentwood High School.

Mark, since returning from Sydney, has joined Middlesex University to study for a Sports Science Degree and has decided to train with former World Trampoline Champion Carl Furrer.

Alexander will be training at the club twice a week in addition to his training with John Beer, National Coach and Performance Director for Trampolining at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Shropshire where he joins the other World Class Performance Plan trampolinists every Tuesday and Wednesday.

John Beer, who was Carl's coach, says that Mark could not be in better hands now he is unable to train on a regular basis with his personal coach Sue Lawton.

Carl said: ''Mark will be a great inspiration to all the youngsters at the club.
