Westcliff will be using tomorrow's (Saturday's) friendly against Billericay to blood a few youngsters and hand the captaincy to another.
Skipper Matt Stanford is unavailable and is replaced by Peter Hall but the captaincy goes to flanker Ian Henderson.
Prop Rick Compton is also not available so Adam Davies comes in for a debut as does scrum-half Michael Pitt.
James Evans moves from scrum-half to the centre, where he will partner another young debut maker Lloyd Goddard.
Ollie Neville and Nick Green are on the wings but the club are waiting for fitness reports to see who will fill be 15th man.
Coach Don Faulkner said: "We have had to make changes and it is a very good chance to blood some more youngsters.
"It is a tribute to all the hard work put in by our mini and youth section organisers that we can call on these players who have come up through the ranks. They deserve their reward."
