Westcliff fail to concede

The under-12s from Westcliff gave double trouble to Colchester and Burnham in a double-header which saw them take it to seven games since a try went in against them.

The youngsters had too much fire power for Colchester, who were thrashed 38-0, with James Roberts scoring his debut.

Westcliff used the game against Burnham to play several boys in unfamiliar positions but they still ran out 25-0 winners.

Westcliff's under-11 team enjoyed mixed fortunes when they met Rochford and Colchester in a double-header.

An open game against Colchester saw Westcliff win through tries from James White and Eden Leech, who scored his first since joining the club this season.

Rochford proved better on the day and scored three tries without reply in their game with Westcliff.

Westcliff under-eights also played a double header winning 15-5 against Rochford with two tries from Mike Buzio and one from James Atkins.

They just won an excellent high scoring game 40-35 with tries from Buzio, Lynch, Atkins, Woods (two), Harding, King and Parmenter.
