Seventeen Colchester boys have represented East Anglia at the 28th National Swimming Championships for Independent Schools, held in Coventry.
A large part of the team was made up of pupils from Colchester High School - and they excelled.
A total of 13 medals were won in all, with Mark Stobbs claiming his fourth English title in three years and also claiming a silver and two bronze medals.
Other success stories included Laurence Hill, who won a silver and three bronzes, Charles Harper, who claimed his third silver in three years, and Paul Hadcock, who won two bronze medals.
Timothy France also did well to collect two bronzes.
