With the weekend's fixtures programme yet again destroyed by the elements only one match, a division two fixture, was completed.

Chelmer Village Athletic beat visitors Duke Street 4-3, after Duke Street had taken an early lead.

Village equalised when Warren Backhouse curled in a 'Beckham style' free kick, and Lee Cahill then gave them a half time lead.

After the restart Village increased their lead to 3-1, with a driving 25 yard shot from Chris Hart, and then Lee Wells made it 4-1.

But the goal of the match was scored by Matt Hutley whose attempt to emulate Ryan Giggs' effort from the day before, saw him lob the ball over the goalkeeper from 20 yards out.

ECC Staff and Old Colombians braved the weather to attempt to get their game going but after 35 minutes referee Steve McDonagh had no option but to abandon the game.

Colombians will feel disappointed as they were cruising 3-0 at the time with goals from Paul Oliffe (2) and Jesse Holloway.
