Only seven games survived the rain on Saturday, and the only positive thing is that it was three more than the previous week.

There were four ties in various cup competitions but no games were played in any of the senior divisions, two were played in reserve division one andone in reserve division three.

ESSEX INTERMEDIATE CUP THIRD ROUND

All White Notley's efforts to make their pitch playable were to no avail as they lost 3-1 at home to St.Osyth , Baker scoring the Notley goal.

In an all Essex Intermediate League clash, Nortel beat visitors Hutton 5-2, Cooper, Scott, Jessie and Zielinski (2) the Nortel scorers.

EESSEX JUNIOR CUP THIRD ROUND

Basildon Town entertained Old Southendians and the seasiders returned home with a convincing 4-0 win to their credit.

RESERVE DIVISION ONE

After all Fred Cox's work to get the pitch playable, Kelvedon Hatch hosted Writtle and won 3-2 with goals from Page, Walker and Shepherd. Farr and Mead put away the Writtle goals.

Sandon Royals played host to Takeley and shared the points in a 1-1 draw, Selleck giving Sandon the lead before Ellis netted a last minute equaliser for Takeley.

RESERVE DIVISION THREE

Shenfield beat visitors Galleywood 3-2, Lovell (2) and O'Dell on target for Shenfield and Richardson and DeVille replying for Galleywood.
