Billericay and Wickford residents are being urged to go green this Christmas by recycling bottles, cans, and cards.
Eighty mini recycling points are available across the district and the civic amenity site at Pitsea will be open from 8am to 4pm every day, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Barleylands Recycling Centre will be closed between Sunday December 24 and Wednesday December 27.
There will be no fortnightly collection of newspapers, junk mail or magazines between Monday December 25 and Friday January 5.
