The Brentwood Centre will be teaming up with sports centres across the county next month to support Comic Relief.
Five-time Olympic champion Steve Redgrave is supporting the sponsored rowing events at the sports halls, encouraging people to raise money in support of the charity.
There will be three challenges at the Doddinghurst Road centre's Heartbeat gym, with individual contentants rowing over 1,000m and 2,000m, and a team event over 10,000m.
It all takes place on March 17, between 10am and 2pm.
