An angry resident has refused to pay two parking tickets slapped on his car in the road where he lives
Mark Boyden, of St Andrew's Road, Clacton, said that he was prepared to go to court, rather than cough up the £60 for the fixed penalty fines incurred yesterday (Tuesday).
He is one of a growing number of residents in the road who are fed up with not being able to find a space outside their homes.
"The road is absolutely full of people who just leave their cars there all day and many are people who take the train but don't want to pay for the station car park," he said.
"I usually work from 8am to 8pm so normally it is all right as there is a spot there when I get back at that time. But whenever I have a day off, it is a complete nightmare and there is never anywhere to park.
