A county-council backed seminar to help small and medium sized businesses find out more about some Euro funding is being held at County Hall this month.

The Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) makes cash available for research and technological development activities in Europe, and specialists who have helped other companies get cash from it will be on hand to explain it's workings.

Cllr Peter Martin, Cabinet Member for Community Regeneration and Economic Development on the council's Executive Board, hopes businesses in the county will take advantage of every opportunity of EU funding.

"This seminar will enable them to find out what is on offer through the Fifth Framework Programme, and to ask questions on how to apply," he added.

The seminar takes place on Thursday February 22nd, from 5.30pm to 8pm, at the Information Centre in County Hall. Contact Michelle Hutchison on 01245 437127 for details.
