Volunteers are being sought to help people struggling to recover from drug and alcohol abuse.
South Essex Mental Health and Community Care NHS Trust runs three treatment centres across south east Essex at Rochford Hospital, Grays and Pitsea.
The services provided by the centres are used by people from right across south east Essex.
Volunteers are needed to work in a variety of different roles including befriending clients, working in support groups and assisting staff and clients in clinics.
A Trust spokesman said: "An extensive training programme is offered and we would welcome applications from all different backgrounds."
