A man was kicked unconscious in a fight outside a Harold Hill pub last week.
The altercation happened outside The Alderman pub, Dartfields between 8 and 8.11pm on Wednesday January 31.
A 31-year-old man from Harold Hill suffered a serious cut to the back of his head, as well as further injuries to the face.
He was taken to Oldchurch Hospital for treatment, but has since been released.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack to come forward with information.
They are also interested to hear from anyone who may have seen a maroon car the attacker may have been driving.
A police spokesman said: "There was an altercation between two men in the pub, which prompted the landlord to throw both men out.
"Witnesses said that the argument continued in the car park and when the landlord went outside he found the victim on the ground unconscious.
"Reports suggest that the man was punched to the ground where the suspect kicked him repeatedly in the head."
Anyone with information should call Havering Police on 01708 779559 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
