Country-dwellers living near Ongar and North Weald are being urged to march on the capital in protest at the erosion of rural communities.
A coach for the Countryside March in Hyde Park will be leaving from Moreton at 8am on Sunday, March 18. Local organisers Joe Skepelhorn and Norman Hudson say the return fare to London is fixed at £1 because of sponsorship.
Said Mr Skepelhorn: "We want to demand that Parliament defends the right of rural people to live our lives responsibly in the way we choose."
