Witham post office is moving 100 yards up the road to new premises.

At the moment the single counter operation is at 70 Newland Street, but on July 19 it is set to move in to the back of McColl's Newsagent at 76 Newland Street and it will reopen on July 23.

The new post office will be slightly larger than the present premises and a section of the new counter will be lowered to help disabled customers.

Deputy manager Ray Flynn added: "We're looking forward to the move, I suppose, but it's not going to be much different."

It will open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Mondays to Fridays, and from 9am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.

Postal service will remain the same until the move on July 19.
