Four young Echosport readers will be getting top tips on how to hammer their opponents in the coming soccer season.

For the quartet have all won prizes of coaching on the West Ham in the Community summer football courses being staged at Ford Sports and Social Club in Gardiners Close, Basildon, during the six-week break.

And all four winners will be allowed to bring along a friend free of charge to share in the brilliant week of expert tuition and playing in World Cup style games.

To earn the right to take part free of charge, our winners all answered correctly that the man who has just taken over the Upton Park managerial hot seat is Glenn Roeder.

The first week's course is from July 30 - August 3 and the winners are Jack Herring, aged six, of Wallace Drive, Wickford, and nine-year-old Christopher James, of Woodberry Road, Shotgate, Wickford.

For the second course, from August 20-24, Connar Bentley (10), of Bilton Road, Hadleigh, collects the prize along with Dayle King, of Norwich Walk, Basildon.

If you were not among our winners and would still like to attend the courses contact West Ham in the Community direct on 020 8548 2707 or coach Steve Tapley on 07967 752260.

Places on the course cost £40 and are aimed at youngsters aged six to 16.
