Helen Crook found the going tough in both her matches at Wimbledon last week.
She and partner Vicky Davies, wild card entrants for the ladies' doubles, had met number 1 seeds Alexandra Fusai (France) and Rita Grande (Italy) in the first round. It was all too short a match as they lost 2-6, 2-6.
On Saturday Helen made her debut in the mixed doubles on the famous Court 2.
She partnered the young British player James Nelson and faced the American pair of Donald Johnson and Kimberley Po-Messerli.
It was another short match with the British pair losing 0-6, 2-6.
Crook will next be in action at the LTA international ladies tennis event at Felixstowe next week. A week later she is playing in the LTA £10,000 ladies tournament at Frinton.
Last year she reached the ladies' singles final before losing out to Sam Smith. She has also had success in the ladies' doubles at Frinton.
