The Raj Restaurant, Mill Road, Maldon is preparing for a mammoth fundraising task - of creating 8,000 chicken biriyani and vegetable curries for charity.
The attempt on Sunday starts at 12pm and runs until 8pm and is aiming to raise cash for Essex Air Ambulance Appeal.
All are welcome to attend with donations of a minimum of £2 for a biriyani. Ripples ice-cream parlour from Maldon will also be making an appearance with 10 per cent donation to the appeal.
