A builder whose van was vandalised in his own driveway has offered a reward to catch those responsible.
John Moody said more than £3,500 worth of damage had been caused to his Ford Transit van.
Scratch marks had been left of the bonnet and sides and tyres slashed.
Mr Moody said he could not think why the assault had been carried out on his van.
He said: "I can't think of a reason. I don't think its anything to do with the business, it's just malicious."
The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday morning. But after the police had been called, the vandal returned. Mr Moody, of The Broadway, Jaywick, gave chase on the second occasion but lost the attacker.
Mr Moody said he had been unable to work yesterday due to the damage. He said he was offering £500 for the conviction of the culprit.
