A 27-year-old woman was airlifted to Oldchurch Hospital with serious injuries after the car in which she was a passenger collided with a van at an Aveley road junction.
The accident occurred at around 1.30pm on Saturday when a white Renault Master van, travelling along Sandy Lane towards London, was in collision with a blue Ford Fiesta. travelling on New Road towards Grays.
The 45-year-old driver of the van, from Pitsea, suffered minor injuries.
