A naked man pursued a female horserider as she made her way along a country road close to Wickford at around 1pm on Saturday.
The woman was riding her horse along Hawks Wood Road when the man approached her and then ran after her as she tried to make her escape.
The man was then seen to climb into a white high top Ford Transit van before speeding off. He was described as white, balding with a large build.
