In the County Double Fours, Falcon 'B' met Chelmsford 'A' and just lost out by a 34-32 overall score.

At home Mike Bickers rink were up for all but one end and finished four shots up.

At the Chelmsford end Falcon held sway until the 16th end when Alan Thorpe's rink picked up three shots to move ahead.

Disaster struck for the Falcon on the next end when they dropped an eight.

A strong finish by Gordon Mcleay's rink failed to yield the necessary seven shots to force an extra end and Chelmsford squeezed home by two shots overall.

Falcon met Romford in their third match in the LESCBA Shield competition and won comfortably (102-62) despite having a number of senior players unavailable.

A strong performance at home saw Ian Barker's rink storm home by 32 shots, while Greg Moss' rink held Steve Pickford to a single shot win.

Away from home, Falcon charged into an early 16 shot lead over both rinks, held the expected comeback from Romford and closed out nine shots the better over both rinks.

On Monday Falcon met Brentwood in the second round of the County Shield and ended up 90-67 winners after another good team performance.

Away, Ian Barker's rink were always well in front whilst next door Gordon Mcleay's rink had a close tussle to lose out by only two shots.

At home, Mike Bickers' rink had a comfortable margin throughout to hold off the strong challenge by Brentwood against Greg Moss and his rink.
