Thousands of people poured into Stanford-le-Hope over the weekend to take part in an annual festival of fun.
The three-day Stanford festival, which started on Friday, has been hailed a complete success.
One of the organisers, the Rev John Guest, told how the festival stretched half a mile square across Stanford town centre and beyond.
There was a wealth of activities to take part for all the family.
They included a French market, classic car show, dog training sessions, live bands, elderly and young people's parties, tai chi lessons, jazz aerobics and much more.
