Pupils at Manningtree High School have been designing and creating a magnificent array of carnival costumes.
All age groups have enjoyed taking part in a weekly creative workshop with a multicultural theme, learning how to make some spectacular clothing.
They have been helped by the Dedham-based company Twinkle Toes and Dobbin, set up by graduates Dale Everitt and Leanne Donnelly, whose work has featured in the famous Notting Hill carnival and similar events worldwide.
Head of art, Peter Watson, explained: "The workshops are part of the school's programme of inviting in expert guests, specialists of high quality, to help with special projects."
Youngsters from the school in Colchester Road, Lawford, are hoping to wear the costumes at the Colchester Street Festival in September and at a show in the school later in the year.
