Braintree have won their derby clash with fierce rivals Witham.
The Iron comfortably won the match 4-1 at Spa Road on Tuesday night.
Three quick goals from the visitors were enough for victory with Robbie Reinelt and Nicky Simpson among the scorers.
In the second half, Witham's efforts were rewarded when Ian Brown netted from close range. Kevin Budge sealed the win for the Iron late on.
Witham manager Tony Kinsella said: "I was pleased with the way we played going forward but defensivley we still have to be better.
"I thought we were on top early on but they hit us with three quick goals. They're a very good side and I was happy with our performance."
Braintree manager Ben Embery said: "Witham played a lot of good interpassing and gave us a few problems. But the difference was that we had a cuttting edge in front of goal."
