Arsonists set fire to an abandoned car on Canvey - and accidentally ignited another vehicle nearby.
Two crews were sent to the scene of the blaze, in St Agnes Drive. Sub-officer Richard Norris said: "They may have thought they were doing the community a favour by getting rid of this damaged vehicle, but set light to a nearby car."
