Hot on the heels of some of the trendiest eateries in London, the doors have opened on Colchester's first noodle bar.
The North Hill Noodle Bar hopes to offer a unique eating experience with a range of oriental dishes, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Malaysian.
Formerly the home of The Times Bar, the premises has undergone a transformation to give the interior a trendy minimalist Japanese feel.
Manager Ting Tsang said there is a big difference between a noodle bar and a restaurant. "With a noodle bar you sit on Japanese style benches and unlike a restaurant where you might order a starter, a main course and a dessert, here all you food is brought to the table at the same time."
