Sunday night wedding receptions at Thundersley's Hollywood restaurant could continue into the early hours if a planning application gets the go-ahead.
The Shipwrights Drive venue has already opened a plush new wedding room so that couples can tie the knot and stage their post-nuptial celebrations under the same roof.
Now the management is hoping to win permission from Castle Point Council for its function rooms to serve alcohol until 12.30am on Monday.
Objections to the proposal must be lodged with Castle Point Council by August 29.
