Finidi George is set to be unveiled as an Ipswich Town player today (Thursday) - despite reports his transfer had been put on hold.
Real Mallorca were thought to have delayed the move because they had not received proof Ipswich have sufficient funds.
They claimed they were supposed to have received a fax guaranteeing the transfer by Monday evening.
The snag now appears to have been resolved but Mallorca spokesman Toni Travena said at the time: "Ipswich have not contacted us explaining why the endorsement has not been sent.
"This does not mean the deal is off but that we will have to start all over again."
A second problem presented itself yesterday when George was named in the Spanish side's squad for a Champions League qualifier against Hadjuk Split.
The winger - thought to be costing £3.5m - has now been withdrawn but, had he played, would have been cup-tied for Ipswich's UEFA Cup campaign.
Ipswich routed Dublin City 5-0 on Tuesday night thanks to a hat-trick from Richard Naylor plus goals from Marcus Stewart and Jermaine Wright.
Ipswich keeper James Pullen - signed from Heybridge Swifts - made his Blackpool debut on Tuesday night in the 2-2 draw with Athletic Bilbao. The youngster is on trial at Bloomfield Road.
