There was a hectic end-of-season for members of the Dunmow Bowling Club which finished on a high note recently with the annual dinner and prize presentations before they took to the floor to music from Kid Tidiman's New Orleans Jazz Band.

The dinner, held in the Foakes Hall, followed members' now annual away tour which this year saw them in Weymouth for five days immediately after the club finals days.

Dunmow bowlers are not letting the grass grow under their feet, however, during the coming months, as many club members have switched to playing indoor bowls either at Towerlands, Braintree or Turpins in Saffron Walden.
