A list of important decisions affecting Tendring has been published - but gives little away.

Tendring Council's new cabinet-style of local government has held its first meeting in private. As a result it has now published a Forward Plan, a list of key decisions to be taken in the next four months. But the list is short and gives little or no detail about what is involved.

Major issues such as abandoned vehicles and the decriminalistion of parking are to be looked at over the next month, but there is no information as to what will be discussed.

A key decision has been defined as something which costs more than £50,000, something "significant with regard to the budget for the service or function" or a matter affecting two or more wards.

The cabinet is made up of a leader, Terry Allen, and nine portfolio holders, with special responsibility for a certain area. All the cabinet is made up of councillors from the controlling Conservative/Lib Dem/Independent parties.

Other matters to be considered between now and February include the lease of a storage building to the Naze Protection Society in Walton and the designation of Clacton seafront as a conservation area.

The council is also due to release a list of decisions weekly, but no-one will normally be allowed in to listen to the debate before a decision is reached.

Each forward plan will be available on the council's website at www.tendringdc.gov.uk
