RSPCA officers today appealed for information after they rescued a puppy left to die in a Shoebury park.
The nine-month-old black and white cross-breed was found tied to a post in Gunners Park, in Ness Road, Shoebury.
His owner failed to return and the little dog was rescued by RSPCA officers.
He is now recovering from his ordeal at Woodview Kennels in Greensward Lane, Hockley.
Clare Kennett, spokeswoman for the south east region of the RSPCA, said: The dog was just abandoned.
We are now looking to discover who has done this to him because he could very easily have died if he had not been spotted.
The dog has a leather collar and was tied up with a red and black nylon lead.
