A bungalow resident was left with sewage in his garden after the heavy weekend rain.

Harry Jones, of Western Lane, Silver End, is now waiting for cleaners from Braintree council to clear the mess.

The flood water was two inches high on Sunday, but it did not get inside the house. However, when the waters went down sewage was left behind.
