Fulham are the latest club being linked with out-of-favour Ipswich Town playmaker Jamie Clapham.

The defender-cum-midfielder was left out of the Blues' squad for their weekend stalemate with Everton as boss George Burley wanted to include Finidi George and Fabian Wilnis.

Clapham, signed by the Blues from Tottenham Hotspur after a loan spell in 1998, has also recently been linked with Southampton and Middlesbrough.

Boro are now thought to have dropped out of the running, though, while there are suggestions Saints see Clapham as a replacement for Wayne Bridge, should they be forced to sell one of their prized assets.

Clapham himself has insisted that he wants to stay and fight for his place.
