A closure order on a Panfield bridleway has been lifted following a six month ban on its use.
The closure of all public rights of way during the Foot and Mouth crisis resulted in many maintenance problems that needed to be addressed once the paths were re-opened to the public.
Bridleway 22 at Panfield suffered considerable damage from ploughing followed by severe wet weather and Essex County Council carried out work to restore the route including levelling and grading of the surface, incorporation of better drainage and reseeding with grass.
