Goal poacher Kevin Rapley just knew he was going to score against Wycombe.

He said: "I told my girlfriend and dad I was going to get a goal in this match and that's exactly how it turned out. I felt good and had very positive vibes about the match and it was a great game to play in.

"It was end-to-end stuff with plenty of excitement and must have been a great game for the fans to watch. Find out more about Colchester United FC "Micky Stockwell's goal which gave us the lead was a great finish and then we were caught out by a quick break and poor old Gav (Johnson) could do nothing about their equaliser.

"It was great to score because it puts me just a couple behind Scotty (McGleish) and keeps us both well in the scoring charts.

"There's no competition between us, but there's nothing better than scoring regularly when you are playing up front.

"If Scotty and I took all our chances we would already have a lot more goals now."

"But the main thing is the team is going very well. We are playing a lot of good football and if we are able to put out a fully fit side we've got a great chance of making the play-offs this season."

It's Rapley, believe it or not - U's striker Kevin Rapley prods home the second goal against Wycombe Wanderers at Layer Road.
