George Burley and his men welcome West Ham to Portman Road on Sunday for what is a crucial game to both sides.

The Blues showed glimpses of the form that saw them storm the Premiership last season during the second half at Southampton in midweek where they drew a thrilling game 3-3.

And Dutch defender Fabian Wilnis believes this could give the team the confidence needed to see a repeat of last season's form.

"The second half against Southampton was quite a good performance," he said.

"We played more forward and we created more chances and hopefully that will give us a push for the game against West Ham.

"It's going to be a tough game. They have hit a bit of form themselves, winning their last two matches. They will probably have a lot of confidence now and the belief that they can beat us.

"Paolo Di Canio is a handful. He's not really a striker, he plays more a free role and plays between the midfield and the front line and that is why he is really difficult to pick up.

"Another player to look out for is Kanoute. He is in good form since he came back from injury."

Wilnis also believes that the pressure is easing on manager Glenn Roeder. "He was under pressure, but if you win two games then the press gets off your back but then again they need points and so do we so it's going to be a very interesting game.

"It's been more difficult for us this season. Teams come to Portman Road now and get eight or nine players behind the ball."

Ipswich have so far only won one game in the league this season with five draws and four defeats and currently lie fourth from bottom.

Their last two games have seen them gain a 1-1 draw with Fulham followed by the stalemate with Southampton midweek.
