A road was left closed for nearly an hour following a road smash involving a motorcyclist and two other vehicles.
The accident happened around 7.05pm in Essex Way, Benfleet, near the old water tower.
The biker collided with a car and police today said a total of three vehicles were involved in the incident.
Paramedics took the injured motorcyclist to Southend Hospital and the road was re-opened just before 8pm last night.
