The magic of Christmas was brought alive for deaf and hearing impaired children in north Essex.

The Royal Association for the Deaf arranged the festive treat, which was held at its centre in Walsingham Road, Colchester.
The youngsters also enjoyed a play in sign language put on by volunteers of the charity during the event.
They were are also able to join in with popular carols, which were also signed for them.
Every year members of the charity, which supports people who are both deaf and hearing impaired and their families, enjoy a special party.
