Alan White scored his first ever goal for Colchester United to sink sad Peterborough at Layer Road and propel the U's to only their second win in ten League and cup games.
White glanced in a 70th minute header to seal all three points after the match had got away to a storming start with two goals inside a minute shortly after kick-off.
Peterborough captain Andy Edwards netted his first of the season to put the visitors ahead inside seven minutes, but the U's were back on level terms less than 30 seconds later via a sizzling strike from leading scorer Scott McGleish.
