Hendersons consolidated their position in second place just behind Essex Police with Saturday's six goal show against Ongar.

Hendersons had their goalkeeper to thank early on when he made a string of super saves.

The break came after 25 minutes when Terry Collins and Mark Stay combined well to set up Robbie McDowell who crossed the ball over to Dave Stay to head home.

After the break Hendersons stepped up the pressure on Ongar and it was Mark Stay who broke through to make it 2-0.

This was quickly followed by a third goal when the Ongar keeper failed to clear the ball and Alan Shelvey pounced to score.

Dave Stay was in the right place to finish off a superb cross by his brother to put Hendersons four goals in front.

Manager Tony Baldwin and McDowell were now setting up chance after chance for the front players.

Stay took advantage yet again by scoring twice more to take his personal tally to four for the game and 19 for the season.
