Tory flab fighters are celebrating after two months dodging the temptations of cream cakes and fatty foods.

Billericay MP John Baron was on hand to monitor the scales in the battle of the bulge at the Conservative Association's Christmas bash in Noak Bridge Community Centre.
Conservative councillors undertook the diet challenge to raise money for the Anvil Trust. And Mr Baron reckons one or two defied the odds to lose the pounds.
He explained: "I want to congratulate the larger than life characters who have taken part in the sponsored slim to raise money for the Anvil Trust."
The trust provides homes and care for mentally handicapped adults in Perry Street, Billericay. Around £500 was raised in all.
