A fly-on-the-wall documentary into the setting up of a gay radio station hits television screens tonight.
LBH Radio, which started life last September from genteel Frinton, moved to a new headquarters in North Station Road, Colchester earlier this year.
It broadcasts 24 hours a day on 1386kw medium wave, primarily to the lesbian, bisexual and homosexual communities.
And the trials and tribulations of setting up such a radio station centres on the person responsible for its existence, Torquil Silvanus Matthew Septimus Riley-Smith.
Queen of the Airwaves, part of the Trouble at the Top series, on BBC2 tonight at 9pm begins with the aristocratic Mr Riley-Smith coming up with the idea which he hopes will make his fortune again, he has already lost one, although he knew nothing about running a radio station or being gay.
It follows the problems he encountered with investors and advertisers. The programme contains strong language.
