Jamie Clapham was lost for words after Aston Villa fought back from a goal down to condemn Ipswich Town to another Premiership defeat.
Finidi George rifled the Blues ahead with a long-range shot midway through the first half at Villa Park last night.
But John Gregory's side responded by scoring twice, either side of the interval, through Colombian striker Juan Pablo Angel.
Blues midfielder Clapham, a second-half substitute, said: "I just can't believe we lost after controlling the game for so long.
"Villa only really had two decent chances and they got lucky with a wicked deflection for the winner.
"Even though we lost, we can take confidence from the match into our game at Spurs on Saturday.
"We didn't play like a side bottom of the table and hopefully things will even themselves out in the second half of the season."
Town are still five points adrift at the bottom of the table, stranded on just nine points from 17 games.
